An investigation has been launched after a man was "stabbed" in Darwen, police have said.
Officers patrolling in Darwen town centre in the early hours of this morning (September 20) were made aware of an assault in Church Street.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was given first aid and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Police said an investigation is underway and enquiries are ongoing.
