Dobbies Preston announces autumn and Halloween events

The events will take place at its garden centre in Preston and include seasonal workshops and family-friendly activities.

One of the highlights is the return of the Little Scare-lings Halloween Tea Party, a themed afternoon for children filled with 'witchy magic and tasty treats.'

Children will have the chance to take part in potion-making, glow-in-the-dark slime crafting, and trick-or-treat bag decorating.

The event also includes games and a Halloween-themed tea with “sand-witches,” scones, and sweet treats.

Hannah Stephen, events programme manager, said: "Dobbies are excited to offer a variety of seasonal events, with fun for all ages and every member of the family.

"The Autumn Terrarium Workshop is the perfect afternoon out for couples and friends who love to be creative, enjoy conversation and a change of pace.

"Our Little Scare-lings event is a firm favourite for families, with plenty of action-packed activities.

"We can’t wait to celebrate autumn and Halloween by welcoming our customers into stores."

Tickets for the Little Scare-lings event are priced at £15 per child and start from £7.50 per adult.

This includes tea or coffee with a choice of cake or add on afternoon tea for £17.50.

Advance booking is required.

Adults can also get involved in seasonal activities with the Autumn Terrarium Workshop, where Dobbies’ Green Team will guide attendees through creating a miniature indoor landscape inspired by autumn.

Plants for the workshop have been selected by Claire Bishop, Dobbies’ senior plant buyer and an RHS judge.

Attendees will enjoy a demonstration and then build their own terrarium to take home.

Tickets are £37.50 per person and must be booked in advance.

Guests can add a Gardeners’ Afternoon Tea for an additional £17.50.

All events will take place at the Dobbies Preston store.
