A mental health service has been nationally recognised for delivering high-quality care and support.
Cygnet Fountains, based on Pleasington Close in Blackburn, was accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Quality Network following a thorough review.
The 34-bed facility provides high-support inpatient rehabilitation for men who are struggling with their mental health.
Serena Birtwistle, hospital manager at Cygnet Fountains, said: "We are incredibly proud to have achieved this accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
"It is an important recognition of the high-quality care we deliver at the service.
"Our focus is always on helping the men in our care to make meaningful progress in their recovery, build confidence and develop the skills they need to live more independently.
"This achievement belongs to our service users as much as our staff, and I would like to thank everyone who contributed so openly and positively to the review.
"While we are delighted that the quality of our service has been recognised, the accreditation process has also given us valuable opportunities to learn and develop.
"We will use that feedback to continue strengthening the care and support we provide."
The Quality Network supports inpatient and community rehabilitation services in assessing and improving care standards.
Its accreditation process includes self-reviews and peer reviews involving staff, service users and carers.
Services are measured against nationally recognised standards covering care planning, staffing, the patient environment, workforce training and support, admission and assessment, treatment and recovery, safeguarding, and links with the wider community.
