A Burnley man has admitted to causing serious injury to a pedestrian as a result of dangerous driving.
Giovanni Valentino, 49, of Kinross Street, appeared before Burnley Crown Court charged with one count of the offence.
The charge relates to an incident in 2023, when the defendant drove his Range Rover Sport dangerously on Todmorden Road.
Christopher Horner had to be airlifted to hospital following the collision, which occurred just before 7pm on April 20.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries, and police closed the road for several hours following the incident.
The defendant had previously entered a not guilty plea for the offence in February.

A sentence date has been set for December 16 and a pre-sentence report was ordered by Judge Daniel Prowse.
An opening and victim personal statement must be served by the Crown Prosecution Service by November 27, with a response provided by the defence by December 11.
He has been granted unconditional bail, but Judge Prowse has imposed an interim driving disqualification until the hearing.
