Met Office forecast for West Lancashire this weekend

Saturday, September 19, is expected to start off mixed and showery, particularly in northern parts of West Lancashire, where the chance of rain could reach 60 to 70 per cent during the early morning.

Elsewhere, showers are less certain, and there should already be some brighter intervals.

Temperatures will generally be around 14 to 16C early in the morning, rising towards 16 to 17C by late morning.

The afternoon looks considerably drier and brighter, with sunny intervals across much of West Lancashire.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 17 to 18C, with highs of approximately 18C widely.

The chance of rain should generally be relatively low, although an isolated shower cannot be ruled out.

Temperatures will generally be around 16 to 17C during the early evening, dropping towards approximately 14 to 16C later in the evening.

Coastal areas are likely to remain milder, at around 16C at 10pm, while inland and northern areas could become somewhat cooler.

Sunday, September 20, should have a drier start, with sunny intervals in places before cloud gradually increases.

Temperatures will generally begin at around 13 to 15C, although coastal locations could be closer to 15 to 16C.

By late morning, temperatures should have climbed to approximately 16C.

The chance of rain is generally low at around 10 to 20 per cent, although it will remain breezy.

It is expected to become cloudier through Sunday afternoon, although there should still be some brighter spells.

Temperatures will generally peak at around 16 to 18C, with the warmest conditions likely towards the coast.

The chance of rain increases slightly during the afternoon in some areas, generally to around 20 to 30 per cent, but widespread persistent rain is not currently forecast.

Westerly winds will remain noticeable, with gusts potentially reaching around 25 to 30mph in exposed locations.

Sunday evening is expected to be predominantly cloudy, with temperatures generally around 15 to 17C during the early evening and remaining around 14 to 16C later on.

Winds should gradually ease through the evening.
