Edmondson admitted to possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, and said the money found in his home was made from importing cannabis from Thailand and selling the Class B drug in the UK.
He was charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, supply of a Class B drug, and possession of criminal property, relating to the cash that was seized.
On Monday, Edmondson pleaded guilty to the offences and was sentenced to four years and eight months.
Insp. Rob Grey said: “This is an excellent result for the community of Nelson and once again shows that the supply of controlled substances will not be tolerated by the public or the police.
“Officers will continue to proactively target those committing organised crime in our area and will act on any information given to the police.”
