Northcote shortlisted for Cookery School of the Year

Northcote Cookery School has been shortlisted for Cookery School of the Year at the Food and Travel Reader Awards.

Headed by Executive Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen, the school guides budding chefs through tutorials to learn the techniques and tastes that have kept Northcote at the pinnacle of the UK’s fine-dining scene for over 30 years.

A Northcote spokesperson said: “The Northcote Cookery School has been shortlisted in the Food and Travel Reader Awards for Cookery School of the Year.

“This nomination truly is a testament to the hard work that goes into the Northcote Cookery School by Lisa, Ben, Dan and Darcy, every single day.”

Head Cook School tutor Ben Hinchliffe said that it was a “real honour” to see the school shortlisted and encouraged visitors to vote for them.

He said: “It’s a real honour to see the Northcote Cookery School shortlisted in the Food and Travel Reader Awards.

“Everyone here puts so much care and passion into every course we run, so it’s fantastic to know that our guests appreciate what we do.

“If you’ve joined us for a course and enjoyed the experience, we’d love your vote. It would mean the world to the whole team.”

Visitors to the culinary school are also treated to breakfast and a two-course lunch.

It is the second time that Northcote has received recognition from the Food and Travel Readers Award, with Ms Goodwin-Allen named chef of the year in 2023.

The boutique hotel and dining destination also retained its Michelin star for the 30th consecutive year in February.

The winners will be awarded the coveted trophies at the Gala Dinner in November, having been voted for by the magazine’s readers.

Other categories include restaurants, chefs, hotels, destinations, tour operators, cruise companies and airlines.
