An Accrington man will be sentenced later this year after pleading guilty to wounding.

James Marsh, 37, appeared at Burnley Crown Court on Wednesday (September 9) charged with two offences of possessing a bladed article and one offence of wounding without intent.

Marsh, of Church Street, changed his plea to guilty on all three charges and will be sentenced on December 2.

Charges state that on June 3 Marsh was in possession of a knife in Pickup Street and Church Street in Accrington.

He then unlawfully and maliciously wounded Lee Brown.

Marsh was remanded in custody until his sentencing.
