An East Lancashire mountain bike trail has been named as one of the nation’s best.
The Zone Mollar MTB Skills Park, in Crawshawbooth, placed seventh in the iBikeRide’s 2026 Trail of the Year Awards.
The win comes just a year after the course opened, with the trail already supporting hundreds of riders across the valley.
A spokesperson for Rossendale Council said: “Zona Moller MTB Skills Park in Crawshawbooth has placed seventh overall in iBikeRide’s 2026 Trail of the Year awards!
“A huge thank you to everyone who voted and left such brilliant reviews.
“Zona Moller is a community bike skills park, run by WAVE Adventure and local volunteers, and there’s already more work underway to make it even better.
“The improvements are being supported by Pride in Place funding, helping create a safer, more inclusive and environmentally sustainable facility for the community.”
During the opening of the park, 300 people visited to put their skills to the test.
The park has been designed to give riders of all abilities the opportunity to develop the techniques required to ride competently on tracks around the Rossendale Valley.
WAVE Adventure runs the site, along with programmes at its main base in The Bunker, Waterfoot, to run skills and training sessions, but it is open for the public to enjoy too.

The company said the design of the skills area has been woman-led, built according to how women and girls learn and develop good technique - something they say is different to how trails and pump tracks are usually installed.
Benches and a picnic bench have also been installed at the site so people can relax and enjoy the space with amazing views across the valley.
The skills area can be found off Goodshaw Lane in Crawshawbooth.
