A North West Subaru owners’ club has handed over £1,000 to a charity supporting people living with dementia and their families.
North West Imprezas, with members across Lancashire, raised the money through its ongoing programme of events, merchandise sales and contributions from its growing number of supporters.
The £1,000 donation will go to Together Dementia Support, a Manchester-based charity helping people affected by dementia to live positively and remain connected within their communities.
The charity provides weekly social and activity groups, one-to-one support in people’s homes, dementia cafés and dedicated support and training for family carers.
The fundraising has been supported by a series of NWI activities in recent months, including a club presence at the East Lancashire Hospice Charity Car Show, a milkshake meet at a local dairy farm in Westhoughton and a Fish & Chips run to Fleetwood.
Club founder and director, Harlen Keshav, said: “Together Dementia Support does incredibly important work supporting people living with dementia, as well as the families and carers around them.
"They help people stay active, social and connected, while giving carers the support and guidance they need.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported North West Imprezas — whether you’ve attended our events, bought merchandise, donated or simply helped spread the word.
“I’m incredibly proud of how far NWI has come.
"For me, it’s never just been about the cars — it’s about the people, the club and using that passion to make a difference.”
The club has already selected its next charity partner, North West First Responder Group, with fundraising now underway.
