A teenager has been charged after a three-year-old girl suffered serious injuries in a crash involving an electric dirt bike in Burnley.
Emergency services were called to Thompson Park shortly after 1.30pm on March 20 after the youngster was involved in a collision near the pavilion.
The girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Lancashire Police said she has since been discharged and continues to recover.
Following an investigation and consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, a 15-year-old boy has now been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with failing to stop after a road accident, using a motor vehicle without insurance, driving without a licence and using a motor vehicle without a valid test certificate.

He is due to appear before Preston Youth Court on September 15.
A second 15-year-old boy and a 38-year-old man, who were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, remain under investigation.
Police said comments had been disabled on the force's social media post because legal proceedings are now active.
