Search the Public Notice PortalRetrospective plans have been submitted to convert a Longridge barn into a mix of business premises and residential accommodation.
The proposal relates to Brows Barn East in Higher Road, which has been reconfigured to create commercial space alongside living accommodation within the existing building.
Planning documents submitted to Ribble Valley Borough Council state the barn has already been converted under a previous permission and no longer functions as an agricultural building.
The latest application seeks to change the mix of uses inside the building rather than extend it.
Applicants say the commercial element could provide space for offices, consultancy firms, creative businesses and other rural enterprises, while the residential accommodation would help secure the building's long-term future.

The site is part of a cluster of converted barns, homes, farm buildings and commercial premises to the south-east of Longridge.
The planning statement argues the scheme would support the rural economy and make better use of an existing building without further encroachment into the countryside.
Documents state the existing access from Higher Road would remain in use, with parking provided on site and only limited external alterations proposed.
The application will be considered by Ribble Valley Borough Council at a later date
