A woman targeted a Rawtenstall store to steal high-value Lego sets.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Donna Monks equipped herself with a foil-lined bag to try and avoid detection.
Monks, 47, of Spring Terrace, Bacup, pleaded guilty to stealing Lego worth £401 from Asda on May 8, theft of Lego worth £270 from Asda on May 31, theft of Lego worth £311 from Asda on June 4, theft of Lego worth £429 from Tesco on June 6 and going equipped for theft with a foil-lined bag on June 6.
She was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, with a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
She was ordered to pay £200 compensation to Asda and £100 to Tesco.
Graeme Tindall, prosecuting, said the offences were aggravated by the degree of planning.
"Some of the items stolen were wrapped in foil, and she had the foil-lined bag," said Mr Tindall.
Janet Sime, mitigating, said her client had a long-standing addiction to heroin and crack cocaine.
"She has been effectively homeless for two years and has been sofa surfing," said Miss Sime.
"Of her own volition, she has been engaging with Inspire to address her problems."
