A man has been arrested after crashing into a wall following a police chase through the streets of Blackburn.
Police said at 2.30am this morning (Tuesday), the driver of the BMW M6 failed to stop for officers on Roman Road, travelling at twice the speed limit, before driving the wrong way down Pritchard Street.
He then crashed into a stationary vehicle and a wall.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Blackburn, was arrested by the Specialist Operations Armed Policing team on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to provide a breath test.
He is currently in custody.
Chief Inspector John Jennings-Wharton from the Road Policing team said: "This wasn't the first time we had seen this car during the night; it failed to stop for officers earlier on in the night, so we were looking for it, and we found it.
"Fail to stop for us, drive dangerously, or be impaired and expect to be arrested and sent to court - putting the people of Lancashire at risk will not be tolerated."
