A cafe and bar is set to open in Chorley after a planning application was approved.
A planning application has been approved by Chorley Council for the change of use of the former clothes shop, Temptation, at 11 Chapel Street.
The plans, submitted by Harry Gregory, sought permission to convert the site from a shop into a mixed-use café and bar, with the venue to operate as a café by day and a bar by night.
The premises, formerly used as a retail clothing store until December 2025, have been vacant for around seven months.
Mr Gregory said: "The site is currently empty.
"My application is a proposed change of use from class E to sui generis. We are looking to open a cafe by day and bar by night."
Internal alterations are planned for the fit-out, including the construction of a bar counter, a beer cellar, and the conversion of the existing tea station area into a kitchen.
On the ground floor, a seven-metre bar and rear counter will be installed, along with a beer cellar and storage area.
On the first floor, a new kitchen will be created.
The first floor also includes a tea station and two toilet cubicles.
The plans attracted one objection from a nearby resident, who raised concerns about the late operating hours and potential impact on the area.
The objector said: "Chapel Street is characterised by independent, relaxed, comfortable hospitality venues that close at reasonable hours.
"Significant late night noise breakout."

Chorley Council approved the application but imposed a restriction on opening hours.
The venue will be permitted to operate between 8am and 2am daily.
The café and bar will be required to operate in accordance with the approved plans and any additional conditions set by the council.
