Jeremy Clarkson's partner Lisa Hogan has launched a new app designed to help British farmers attract more visitors and boost their income – and a Lancashire farm has signed up.
Only Farmers allows users to book holidays, tours and hands-on experiences at farms across the UK, while providing farmers with an extra source of income.
Among the early listings is Cronkshaw Fold Farm in Rossendale, where visitors can try everything from goat yoga to beekeeping experiences.
The idea for Only Farmers came from Lisa's work at Diddly Squat Farm Shop, where she met farmers who had found innovative ways to diversify their businesses. Seeing growing interest in farm-based experiences, she developed the platform to help connect visitors with rural attractions across the UK.
She chose the name as a tongue-in-cheek play on the subscription platform OnlyFans, saying she wanted something people would remember.
The farm shop, launched by Jeremy and Lisa after they harvested 40 tonnes of potatoes, has since become a popular tourist destination in the Cotswolds.
Users download the app, sign in as either members of the public or farmers, enter their location and choose how far they are willing to travel before browsing nearby farms and experiences.
The platform also allows farmers to connect with one another to rent equipment, share produce and collaborate.
At the time of writing, the platform showed 417 farms across the UK.
While there were relatively few listings in the North West, the service has only recently launched.
Cronkshaw Fold Farm offers a range of experiences and accommodation, including goat yoga priced at £25 per person.
According to the listing, the 80-minute sessions take place in the farm's goat barn, where participants meet the goats before taking part in a yoga class and later have the opportunity to feed them treats.
The listing advises visitors to wear clothes they do not mind getting nibbled.
The farm also offers a beekeeping experience, available from April to September.
The experience costs £50 per person, with one additional guest able to attend at no extra charge.
Visitors are shown the different parts of a hive before learning how to put on protective clothing and inspect bee colonies.
Participants are then given the opportunity to examine a hive, hold frames of bees and record hive health data under supervision.
Children aged eight and over can take part when accompanied by an adult.
For those looking to stay overnight, The Shippon B&B at Cronkshaw Fold Farm is also listed on the platform.
The accommodation is described as being suitable for couples, or couples with a young child.
The listing says guests also have access to scenic views, opportunities to meet the farm animals and try seasonal produce.
Prices start from £80 per night, subject to a two-night minimum stay on selected arrival days.
