Motorists on the M6 can now enjoy a new taste experience.

Roadchef has partnered with Chaiiwala, the UK’s Indian street food café brand, to open a new outlet at Sandbach Southbound Services, bringing flavours such as Karak Chaii to the motorway.

The venue is open daily from 8am to 9pm and marks the second Chaiiwala location to open at a Roadchef site, following the launch at Watford Gap Services in 2025.

Sohail Ali, co-founder of Chaiiwala, said: "We're delighted to be building on our partnership with Roadchef by opening at Sandbach Southbound and introducing even more motorway travellers to Chaiiwala.

"Since opening our first Roadchef location, we've seen just how well our authentic Indian street food and handcrafted drinks resonate with customers on the move.

"Whether it's a Karak Chaii and an Omelette wrap before setting off or a Bombay Twister Wala Wrap during a journey, we're excited to offer drivers something a little different from the traditional motorway stop."

Chaiiwala’s menu includes its signature Karak Chaii—brewed onsite using a secret blend of seven spices—as well as Wala Wraps, breakfast wraps, Bombay toasties, and rice bowls.

The site also offers a selection of hot and cold drinks, along with sweet treats such as loaded doughnuts.

The opening is part of a wider growth plan, with five more sites set to launch across the UK this month.

Dan Sutton, brands director at Roadchef, said: "We're committed to giving our customers more choice every time they stop with us, and Chaiiwala is a fantastic addition to Sandbach Southbound.

"As we continue to diversify our food and drink offering, we're introducing exciting new brands that reflect the variety of tastes and preferences of the millions of people who travel on the UK's motorway network each year."

The opening supports Roadchef’s wider £300m investment programme, aimed at upgrading motorway service areas with new dining options, enhanced facilities, and a broader customer offering.
