A Brierfield man will stand trial later this year accused of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

Mohammed Abad, 27, of Cross Street, appeared at Burnley Crown Court on Thursday (July 30) charged with a single count.

He entered a not guilty plea to the alleged offence, which the prosecution says happened on November 11 last year.

He was bailed ahead of a pre-trial review on October 12.

A trial expected to last up to three days was scheduled for November 9.
