A prolific thief has had his sentencing pushed back after failing to attend court.

Liam Hendry, 36, was due to appear at Burnley Crown Court over multiple thefts and breaches of a criminal behaviour order.

In total, he faced 10 shoplifting charges, which largely consisted of sweets and chocolates, including an entire case of Cadbury's Creme Eggs, worth £112, from the Tesco Extra store in Accrington.

Hendry also breached a criminal behaviour order on four occasions by entering different shops he was banned from - the Tesco Express in Mill Hill, Oswaldtwistle and Dixon News in Marlborough Road, Accrington, each twice.

Hendry's sentencing was relisted for October 26.
