A teenager has been arrested after police clocked a vehicle at speeds of more than 140mph on the M65 near Blackburn.
Police shared footage of the speeding vehicle, travelling at more than double the national speed limit, on the stretch of road on Wednesday (July 22).
A 19-year-old man from Rossendale was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He was further arrested on suspicion of driving without a licence, failing to stop, and driving without insurance.
A police spokesperson said: "I want to update you on an arrest we made yesterday involving a man who saw fit to drive over 140mph on our roads.
"The footage here shows him reaching these dangerous speeds whilst driving on the M65, near Blackburn.
"Unfortunately for him, but fortunately for all you law-abiding members of the public, our officers caught him, and he was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

"A 19-year-old man from Rossendale was also later further arrested on suspicion of driving without a licence, failing to stop, and driving without insurance.
"This particular driver will have a long time to think about what he’s done whilst he’s housed in custody at Greenbank Police Station.
"Driving like this on the roads of Lancashire is completely unacceptable, will not be tolerated by my officers and we will do everything we can to put dangerous drivers in front of the courts."
