Nando’s is preparing to open a new restaurant in Chorley today (July 22).

Located at Unit 4B, Market Walk, Union Street, the restaurant is set to create 35 new jobs as part of its launch.

Jonathan Taylor, restaurant manager, said: "We’re delighted to be opening the doors to Nando’s new Chorley restaurant!

"We can’t wait to welcome customers to enjoy our famous Peri-Peri and good vibes at this new spot."

The restaurant features indoor seating for 104 diners and includes a frozen cocktail machine serving Crushes and cocktails.

It is also offering delivery and click-and-collect options.

Nando’s is also partnering with LW Storehouse, a local food bank, as part of its 'No Chuckin’ Our Chicken' initiative.

The scheme supports LW Storehouse, in Bolton Street, Chorley, a local food bank feeding families across the borough.

The new site features ceiling designs, geometric wall patterns, and Southern African artwork inspired by the landscapes of South Africa.

Nando’s Chorley is open from July 22, 11.30am to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday, and 11.30am to 10.30pm Thursday to Saturday.

In December, plans were given the green-light for Nando's signage, including a face and halo illuminated fascia sign, an internally illuminated hanging sign, and an internally illuminated internal menu board.

Nando’s Chickenland Ltd applied for the installation of a new shopfront and signage and other minor associated works.

Cllr Alistair Bradley, leader of Chorley Council, welcomed the news.

He said: “It’s one of the most recognisable restaurant chains across the country and their decision to choose Chorley really highlights the success of Market Walk and the wider town centre offer.

"Market Walk is going from strength to strength, and our town centre transformation works in the new year will allow for even more great businesses to call Chorley home."
