Blackburn’s Witton Park was turned into a sea of colour as a popular charity fun run returned to the town.
The Shelter Colour Run on Sunday attracted families from across Lancashire and aims to raise money for the homelessness charity.
This year’s event saw people gather near the Witton Park play area for their customary ‘warm up’, which involved people doing a conga to the starting line.
The route is planned as 1km, but participants can run it as many times as they like within one hour or until organisers run out of powder.
Last year, the run raised more than £11,000 for the charity, and organisers won’t know how much they have raised until after the run.

Jeni Wainwright from Shelter Lancashire said: “Money will come in after the event and we are on track to do very well again.
“It is all to support Shelter in Lancashire.
“This is the fourth year we are hosting the event here.
“One lap is one kilometre, and most people do about three.”
Jeni added: “As many people will know, we are the national homelessness charity.
“We are Shelter Lancashire and are based in Blackburn, and we offer people support with any situation to do with housing.
“We have specialist advisors. Do get in touch for any issue where you may be facing homelessness or experiencing homelessness.
“We can help with benefits and get support as well to make you financially resilient.”
