A Clitheroe teenager threatened to firebomb a woman’s house and car.

Vincent Schofield, 19, appeared at Preston Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (July 15) for sentencing, having pleaded guilty to threatening to damage/destroy property and engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour.

The controlling behaviour charge states that Schofield, between October 2024 and June 2026, in Blackburn, was controlling towards a woman.

It states that Schofield would force the victim to send pictures of herself to prove where she was going, would go through her phone, would verbally abuse her, would repeatedly call her from withheld numbers, put a tracker on her phone and vehicle, and accused her of sleeping with other men.

The other charge states that Schofield threatened to "firebomb" a woman’s home and car in Blackburn on June 7.

Schofield was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for two years.

He was also ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation days and a three-month drug rehabilitation requirement.

Restraining orders were also imposed between him and the victims.
