A burglar will be sentenced later this year after pleading guilty to stealing £10,000 worth of items.

Gareth Rees, 49, appeared at Burnley Crown Court on Monday (July 13) where he pleaded guilty to a single count of burglary dwelling and theft - no violence.

The charge states that Rees entered a property in Burnley Road East, Rossendale, on May 19 and stole jewellery, camera equipment, a rucksack, tools, and cash.

It further says the total value of all the items was £10,134.

Rees, of Church Street, Clayton-le-Moors, was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on September 30.
