Five drivers were caught speeding during a police checkpoint in Chorley.
The checkpoint was set up on Euxton Lane following England's World Cup game against Norway on Saturday.
Drivers were also breathalysed, and nobody exceeded the legal limit for alcohol.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers conducted a check site on Euxton Lane following England's World Cup win!
"A number of vehicles stopped and drivers breathalysed with nobody exceeding the legal limit. Unfortunately, five drivers were issued traffic offence reports for travelling at excess speed."
