Lancashire winners of English Fish and Chip Awards 2026

Bigger Fish to Fry, with shops on Shorrock Lane and Crosby Road, has seen a spike in footfall after receiving multiple honours at the English Fish and Chip Awards. It was also recently named the Lancashire Telegraph's best fish and chip shop.

A spokesman for the business said: "We have seen a lot of new faces since we won multiple awards—we really do appreciate all your custom, guys.

"We are absolutely thrilled to bits.

"After winning three awards at the English Fish and Chip Awards, we're now incredibly proud to announce that we've also been crowned Best Chippy 2026 by the Lancashire Telegraph.

"This award is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion shown by every single member of our team, who work tirelessly every day to serve the very best fish and chips.

"We are beyond grateful to each and every one of you who took the time to vote for us."

Bigger Fish to Fry was highly recommended in several categories at the English Fish and Chip Awards, including best fish and chip shop in the North West, most historic Fish and Chip Shop, and best fish and chips in the North West.

The spokesman said: "Your support means the world, and we honestly couldn't have achieved this without you.

"This award sits right up there with our greatest achievements, and we're so proud to bring it home for Bigger Fish To Fry, Blackburn.

Another Langho business, Country Fried, also took home a major title, winning best mobile fish and chips, best menu and best marketing and digital initiative.
