Football fans had to be evacuated from a Wilpshire pub during a World Cup game this week - and they have issued a warning to customers to make sure it does not happen during Monday's game.
The Wilpshire Hotel, Whalley Road, had to be evacuated during England’s fixture against DR Congo on Wednesday (July 1) after its fire alarm was triggered.
The pub later revealed that the alarm was set off by people vaping indoors.
A spokesperson for The Wilpshire Hotel said: "A message to the very small minority…
"Nobody likes having the football interrupted – especially when a pub full of supporters has to be evacuated because someone decided the rules didn’t apply to them.
"Despite clear signs throughout the pub, a couple of people chose to vape indoors, setting off the fire alarm and forcing everyone outside, causing us all to miss around 10 minutes of the England game."
The statement also called on customers to be more considerate.
The spokesperson said: "To those responsible: your actions didn’t just affect you – they affected every single customer who came to enjoy the match.
"Please respect the venue, our staff, and your fellow supporters."

The pub is set to host another event for the England v Mexico game at 1am on Monday, July 6.
Guests are advised to book tables in advance, as capacity is limited and entry cannot be guaranteed once the venue is full.
Food will be served and the menu has been called 'survivors breakfast' with sausages or bacon sandwiches set to be served.
