There is nothing quite like a great local pub, whether it is for a perfectly poured pint, a hearty Sunday roast, live entertainment, or simply catching up with friends.
East Lancashire is home to hundreds of fantastic pubs, from traditional village inns and cosy locals to stylish gastropubs and family favourites.
Now, the Lancashire Telegraph is asking readers to nominate the one they believe deserves to be crowned East Lancashire’s Best Pub 2026.
Which pub always offers a warm welcome? Where do the staff know your name? And which venue keeps you coming back time and time again? Now is your chance to make sure your local is recognised.
Whether it has been serving the community for generations or has quickly become a new favourite, every pub has something special to offer its customers.
Nominations open on Monday, July 6, by visiting www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LTBEST
Readers have until Sunday, July 12, to put forward their favourite.
The top 10 finalists will then be revealed on Monday, July 13, before voting opens from Monday, July 20 until Saturday, August 1, with readers able to cast their vote using voting forms printed in the newspaper.
As part of the competition, we will also be profiling each of the finalists, giving readers the chance to discover more about the pubs, their history, and the people behind them.
Last year’s title was claimed by The Clifton Arms in Blackburn, but who will take the crown in 2026?
All nominated pubs must be based within Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, or the Ribble Valley.
