A man has appeared in court charged with sexual offences against a child in 2013.

Robert Russell, now 33, appeared at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday (July 1), charged with one count of causing/inciting a girl aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity - no penetration, and two counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.

Russell, of Greenbrook Street, Bury, is alleged to have committed the offences in Blackpool between August and December 2013, when he would have been 21.

Russell entered not guilty pleas to all three alleged offences.

A pre-trial review was scheduled for April 26, 2027, and a trial, expected to last five days, was scheduled for June 21, 2027.

He was bailed until the next hearing.
