Spring Lane in Haslingden is set to close for roadworks.

Lancashire County Council will shut the route from its junction with Blackburn Road to its junction with Lower Lane.

The closure will be in place from the morning of July 13 until the evening of July 21, or until the works are completed.

The roadworks, being carried out by Network Plus on behalf of Electricity North West, involve the re-excavation of a joint bay in the carriageway and installing and jointing cable.

While the road closure is in effect, access for emergency services will be maintained.

Residents will be given vehicular access whenever and wherever possible, while pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.

Motorists affected by the closure can use an alternative route via Blackburn Road, Regent Street, Church Street, and Lower Lane.
