A stretch along of Blackburn’s busiest takeaway will remain closed well into next month.
It follows a huge fire in the early hours of Tuesday, June 23, at the Oasis Takeaway in Darwen Street.
Six fire crews were called to the fire, which had broken out above the takeaway, and the top floor was completely destroyed.
The interior of the second floor is now visible and has been completely destroyed.
Signage went up this week, warning road users of ‘Demolition Works’ and that no parking would be permitted on both sides.

However, it is not certain that the buildings will be demolished.
A council spokesperson said: "Working with the emergency services, our Building Control Team has helped make the properties safe for the short-term.
"We are now taking steps to contact the registered owners of the properties.
"We are monitoring the situation closely."
A number of businesses next door to the fire-damaged buildings also remain shut.
The Miami Takeaway along the same stretch is open, and all the businesses on the opposite side of Darwen Street were back open by 5pm on Tuesday.
The Queen Vic remained open throughout Tuesday as it had access from Jubilee Street.
The fire service said an investigation had begun.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The building involved is a two-storey commercial property, approximately 10 metres by 10 metres, with fire affecting the first floor and roof space.
"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to tackle the fire."
