Crowds cheered on one of Lancashire’s most fun processsions on of the one the hottest days of the year.
The Oswaldtwistle Carnival returned this weekend with a carnival procession, live music and fairground rides.
The procession began on Harvey Street at midday before heading on the Thwaites Road and past the West End Pub.
Then ioit made its way on to Stanhill Lane and Union Road and back to Harvey Street and White Ash Playing Fields.
With temperatures reaching themid twenties the Accrington Pipe band and the Sea/Marine Cadets did a stirling job leading the parade through the streets. They were joined by a team of cheerleaders and gymnasts.

Councillor Noordad Aziz and Cllr Claire Yates were part of the procession and chatted to those taking part before the procession.
Disability campaigner Zack Kerr also joined the parade.
Classic cars, and the local fire service made up the rear of the parade as family's cheered the procession.
Back at White Ash Playing Fields, hundreds of people enjoyed live music and fun rides through the day with the event going on into the evening.
