Lancashire's beer gardens are among the nation’s favourites for a pre-game World Cup pint.
New research by eSportstars.io has named three Wetherspoons pubs on the Fylde coast among the top 10 in the UK, ahead of the World Cup.
The Velvet Coaster in Blackpool, The Jolly Tars in Thornton-Cleveleys, and The Poulton Elk in Poulton-le-Fylde all made the shortlist following a review analysis of 663 Wetherspoons pubs with licensed outdoor seating.
The Velvet Coaster, known for its seafront views and three-tiered terraces, was the highest ranked in Lancashire, securing second place nationwide with a 4.3 out of five Google rating and 11,255 reviews.
Hana Suzuki, content manager at eSportstars.io, said: "Looking at the highest rated Wetherspoons beer gardens across the UK, the North clearly takes the lead ahead of the South, with seven out of the top ten pubs located in the North of England or the Midlands.
"There is also huge local success in Lancashire, with three of the top ten spots, The Velvet Coaster, The Jolly Tars, and The Poulton Elk, all located right next to each other on the Fylde Coast.
"To have three pubs in such close proximity achieve such high ratings suggests that the Fylde Coast’s beer gardens are very well-loved.
"The Velvet Coaster alone, maintaining a 4.3 average rating across more than 11,000 reviews, is very impressive.
"With World Cup fever building and heatwaves on the horizon, this data is a great starting point for football fans looking for the best spots to grab a pint in the sun before a big game.
"Ultimately, the Southern spots deliver in terms of historic architecture, but if you want a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, the North, specifically the Fylde Coast, is the place to be for top-tier Wetherspoons beer gardens."
The Jolly Tars in Thornton-Cleveleys ranked eighth with the same 4.3 rating, based on 2,990 reviews.
Ninth place went to The Poulton Elk in Poulton-le-Fylde, also rated 4.3 from 2,645 reviews.

Visitors can grab a pint of Carlsberg at The Velvet Coaster for £3.59, and at The Jolly Tars and The Poulton Elk for £2.88.
The top spot nationally went to The Bishop Blaize in Stretford, Greater Manchester, with a 4.4-star rating from 2,641 reviews.
The full list includes pubs from across the country, but it is Lancashire’s Fylde coast that stands out as the ultimate spot for a sunny, pre-match pint.
