A Blackburn TikTok content creator making waves in the digital world has drawn the attention of his local MP.
Blackburn MP Adnan Hussain recently met with Alistair Almond, who has attracted more than 640,000 followers on TikTok with his fitness content.
They spoke about how content creators, entrepreneurs, students and residents can help improve Blackburn’s culture and announced plans to work together again in the future.
Unlike typical running influencers who are tracking their next ultramarathon or Hyrox challenge, Alistair's content typically captures him clocking up miles while running to his regular supermarkets or coffee shops.
It brings a more relatable approach to fitness instead of the often unrealistic or sponsor-controlled content put out by other influencers.
Adnan said: "A pleasure to meet local content creator Alistair at my weekly surgery last week.
"We had a productive discussion about how content creators, entrepreneurs, students and residents can help improve Blackburn’s culture, attract investment, and promote the town to wider audiences.
"Alistair has built a significant following through his fitness content and has gained recognition from major brands, including Gymshark.
"We spoke about the growing creator economy and the important role local voices can play in showcasing the very best of Blackburn.
