A teenager has been reported after allegedly failing to stop for police in Oswaldtwistle today (June 11).

A police spokesman said they stopped a 19-year-old in Richmond Street, Accrington.

According to police, the driver only had a provisional driving licence and didn't have any insurance to drive a motor vehicle.

The driver was reported, and the vehicle has been seized.

A police spokesperson said: "An Audi A4 failed to stop for police in the Merlin Drive area of Oswaldtwistle this afternoon.

"We later caught up with the vehicle in Richmond Street, Accrington.

"The 19-year-old male driver only had a provisional driving licence and didn't have any insurance to drive a motor vehicle.

"The male has been reported for summons regarding the driving offences witnessed and the vehicle has been seized."
