Residents in a Lancashire coastal village have been offered an explanation as to why they have seen a sudden influx of caravans and film trucks arriving over the next week.
Bolton-le-Sands Parish Council has issued a notice saying that a number of caravans, motorhomes and support vehicles are set to use the car park at the end of Shore Lane as part of an ITV television production filming in the area.
Access to the car park will be temporarily restricted while filming takes place, with buses and visitors asked to follow on-site instructions.
The council explained: "There will be some temporary restrictions on access to the car park while filming is taking place.
"We appreciate this may cause some inconvenience, but everything is temporary, and the site will be returned to normal once filming has finished."
The reminder is aimed at heading off confusion when the vehicles begin to appear on the shoreline.

In a statement, the parish council thanked residents for their patience and understanding while the crew is in town.
Although the council has not named the ITV programme, cameras have just begun rolling on a sixth series of hit drama The Bay, which is once again using Morecambe Bay as its backdrop.
The show, which follows DS Jenn Townsend and Morecambe’s Major Investigation Unit, has filmed at locations across the bay since 2019, helping to put the coastline, and neighbouring villages, firmly in the TV spotlight.
