A man accused of attempted murder is yet to enter a plea after a further hearing was unable to go ahead.

Pawel Skros, 39, of Warwick Street, Church, was due to enter a plea at a mention hearing at Preston Crown Court on Monday (June 8).

The Lancashire Telegraph was told that Skros was unable to climb the stairs from the cells to the dock at the court's Sessions House building due to an injury.

A provisional pre-trial review hearing remains in place for July 10, and it's now expected that Skros will enter his plea then.

A provisional trial date remains set for September 7, which is expected to last a week.

This will be vacated if Skros pleads guilty at the next hearing.

Skros was charged with attempted murder following an alleged incident on Monday, March 15.

A previous hearing at Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard that the alleged victim suffered multiple stab wounds during the incident at the Warwick Street address.

They were taken to hospital, and at the time of that hearing, their condition was described as "serious but stable."
