A Lancashire business has made a heartfelt appeal to find a new home for a "beautiful" five-year-old Labrador who is struggling in a busy kennel environment.
Maggie, a charcoal Labrador currently based at Inverness Farm, home of Pilling Poultry, is described as a friendly, loyal dog who thrives on human attention and enjoys being part of family life.
However, her owners say they have been left with the "heartbreaking" decision to rehome her after ongoing difficulties managing her around other female dogs.
They have stressed that any prospective home must not include other female dogs, warning that this condition is essential for Maggie’s wellbeing.
A spokesperson said: "Maggie absolutely adores people.
"She is affectionate, loyal and loves attention and she really enjoys being part of a family."
"Unfortunately, she does not get on with other female dogs, which has become increasingly difficult for us to manage within our busy kennel environment.
"It is absolutely essential that Maggie is rehomed to a home without other female dogs.
"This is non-negotiable, and her future home must fully understand and respect this requirement."

Despite this, Maggie is said to have "so much love to give" and would make a wonderful companion in the right setting.
Her owners are now searching for what they describe as "the very best home", adding that they will not rush the decision and are keen to ensure she is placed with a suitable family.
Anyone interested in offering Maggie a forever home is encouraged to get in touch with details about their circumstances on Facebook or at info@pillingpoultry.co.uk.
