A talented Oswaldtwistle teenager helped Team England triumph at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
Leiyah Carter-Latif, a Westholme School student, attended England training camps over 10 days before travelling to Windsor for the Pony Club Mounted Games.
The Pony Club Mounted Games is a fast-paced, relay-style team competition that tests speed, agility and the partnership between rider and pony.
Leiyah, 13, had only been riding her pony, April, for nine weeks before the national trial, with the partnership between horse and rider proving decisive at the very highest level.
Along with her teammates, they were also filmed ahead of the event with footage due to air on Alan Titchmarsh's ITV programme 'Love Your Weekend' on Sunday 7 June.
Leiyah said: "It was an absolutely amazing experience and truly a once-in-a-lifetime achievement to have the opportunity to compete at such a prestigious event, and representing my team at the national level was incredibly special.
“I have worked really hard towards this for many years, so to see it all come together was something I will never forget.
“The atmosphere and support from everyone involved was incredible, and I am very grateful for all the encouragement from my family, coaches and Westholme School along the way."

Principal of Westholme School, Paul Taylor, added: "To see Leiyah come home as a winner from the Royal Windsor Horse Show is just wonderful.
"This is the reward for her commitment and resilience, qualities we value and develop at Westholme.
"We could not be prouder of everything she has achieved.”
