A man in his 50s was taken to hospital after a crash involving an e-scooter in Blackburn.
Police said the incident happened around 2pm on New Chapel Street, on May 29.
Officers believe a silver Vauxhall Insignia vehicle deliberately hit an e-scooter and are treating the incident as an assault.
The rider of the e-scooter was taken to hospital with a wrist injury.
Police say this is being treated as an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the wider public.
A police spokesperson said: "We’re appealing for information and witnesses after a man was left injured in Blackburn yesterday.It was reported to us that a Silver Vauxhall Insignia had intentionally collided with an e-scooter on New Chapel Street at around 2:10pm yesterday (29th May).
"The rider of the e-scooter, a man in his 50s, suffered a wrist injury and has been taken to hospital.
"An investigation is underway, and following initial enquiries, this is being investigated as an assault. We want to stress that this is being treated as an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the wider public.
"We are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information or dashcam footage that could assist our enquiries to get in touch on 101 quoting log 0767 of 29th May."
