Burnley radio presenter Jordan North has announced that he will be appearing in Pixar’s latest film, Toy Story 5.

Appearing as a Garden Gnome in the latest sequel in the series, he will appear alongside his Capital Breakfast co-host Sian Welby, who plays an Inflatable Flamingo.

The former St James' Lanehead Primary School pupil will join Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Greta Lee in the latest film in the series.

Jordan said: “Being part of Toy Story 5 is a pinch‑me moment.

"I grew up loving these films, so getting to join the gang is pretty surreal and special.”

In the latest production, the toys are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a tablet device that arrives with her own ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie.

The film will see Woody and Buzz reunited, after the protagonists' decision to leave the gang and start helping lost toys at the end of 2019’s Toy Story 4.

Several actors have joined the incredible roster of voice talent, including Craig Robinson as Atlas, a cheerful talking GPS hippo toy; Shelby Rabara as the excitable camera toy Snappy; Scarlett Spears as the sweet and shy 8-year-old Bonnie; Mykal-Michelle Harris as Blaze, an independent 8-year-old girl who loves animals; and Matty Matheson as the tech-fearing toy Dr. Nutcase.

Toy Story 5 has been directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton, with Randy Newman returning to score his fifth Toy Story feature.

Now a household name around the UK, Jordan has been passionate about radio from an early age, with stints including three years at community radio station Preston FM and a part-time role on the radio station at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

In May 2011, Jordan won Bauer Media's ‘Star of 2011 Competition' and presented a month of shows for Hits Radio.

Presenting gigs on Capital FM followed, and after starting to work behind-the-scenes at BBC Radio 5 Live, he was announced as part of the new weekend line-up on BBC Radio 1 in 2018.

Also a popular podcast host and TV presenter, Jordan made the big move to Capital Radio to host the Breakfast Show in April 2024 with Chris Stark and Sian Welby, recently hosting his first Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium

The film will be released exclusively in cinemas nationwide on June 19.
