Blackburn Rovers have confirmed they have activated the option in Moussa Baradji’s loan agreement from Yverdon-Sport to make the move permanent.
The 25-year-old midfielder has now put pen to paper over a "long-term contract" at Ewood Park, although the exact length has not been specified.
Baradji arrived at Ewood Park last summer but missed the opening months of the campaign due to an ankle injury.
Upon his return to fitness, the Frenchman made 33 appearances, including 18 starts in the Championship. He bagged a brace in the draw against Charlton Athletic at Ewood Park in January.
Baradji is excited to have made the move permanent and hungry to kick on next season after his first taste of English football.
“I’m happy to be staying here and it’s a big step in my career to be here at Blackburn Rovers,” he told RoversTV.
“In my head, it’s always been clear that I want to be here at Rovers. I am happy to be here, playing in England and playing for Rovers. Blackburn Rovers is a great club and this is a great step for me to take in my career.
“I will work hard in pre-season, which is important for every player, particularly in the Championship, where you have 46 games. It sets you up for the season ahead.
“I want more games, more goals and more assists next season. I’m excited for what’s to come.”
