A POPULAR 90s boyband is set to headline a brand new music festival.
East 17 will take centre stage at the first-ever Colne Cricket Club Music Festival, which will take place at Colne Cricket Club on Saturday, September 19, from 12pm to 8pm.
The event is organised in partnership with Burnley-based promoters Scott Dawson Advertising and promises a full day of live entertainment, family activities, and food and drink.
Scott Earing, treasurer at Colne Cricket Club, said: "We’re incredibly proud to be bringing such a fantastic new event to Colne Cricket Club.
"The line-up is absolutely brilliant and there will be so much going on throughout the day for people of all ages to enjoy.
"We wanted to create something really special for the community and visitors to the area, and we genuinely can’t wait to welcome everyone in September.
"We’d encourage people to take advantage of the early bird offer while they can because tickets are expected to sell very quickly."
East 17, known for hits such as House of Love, It’s Alright, Thunder and their Christmas number one Stay Another Day, lead a line-up that includes tribute acts and regional performers.
Fans can also expect tribute performances to music icons, including Robbie Williams, Taylor Swift, Oasis and popular K-POP artists.
The festival will also highlight local talent, including Colne Cricket Club favourites Sonus.
Other confirmed acts include the Helen Green Academy of Dance, Burnley College Musical Theatre, and Liverpool-born sister duo Kulturess, who blend rock, R&B and rap.
Terry Coldwell of East 17 said: "We’re really excited to be headlining this brand-new music festival at Colne Cricket Club.
"It sounds like it’s going to be an amazing day with a brilliant atmosphere and a great mix of live music and entertainment.
"We have worked a lot with Scott Dawson, so it promises to be a fantastic event.
"We can’t wait to see you all there."
The day will also feature a fairground, street food vendors, and a VIP area.
Early bird adult tickets are priced at £20 each, with additional options for families, children and accessible guests.
The early bird rate is available until Sunday, May 31, at 11.45pm.
A limited number of VIP tickets are also on sale.
These include access to a viewing platform on the top floor of the clubhouse, a private bar, welcome drinks, canapés, and an exclusive meet and greet with East 17.

Tickets go on sale at 8am on Friday, May 15, and can be purchased via Skiddle or directly from the Colne Cricket Club clubhouse.
The festival is expected to be a key event on the local calendar, offering something for visitors of all ages.
Organisers are encouraging early ticket purchases, as strong demand is expected and tickets could sell out quickly.
