A YouTuber and professional eater took on an epic food challenge at a Hapton pub that has never been beaten.
Leah Shutkever, a competitive eater with 645,000 YouTube subscribers, took on the mixed grill challenge at The Hapton Inn on Accrington Road.
The challenge requires participants to finish an 8lb mixed grill within 60 minutes. Succeed and she would earn a spot on the wall of fame - but if she failed she would have to pay £80 for the meal.
The plate was fully loaded with a selection of meat, onion rings and fries.
Leah praised the high quality of the food.
Her struggle began around 20 minutes in when the volume of food began to take its toll.
She said: "The salt and pepper wings are delicious – it's a decent black pudding that was amazing.
"This is the reality. Every mouthful I am swallowing now feels like the end of my life.
"This [last section of food] is going to take a while."
Despite the struggle, she finished the meal in 31 minutes and 45 seconds, earning herself a spot on the venue’s wall of fame.
She said: "That was a pleasure and generally speaking a very enjoyable challenge, everything was cooked perfectly.
"My favourite things were those onion rings because of the crunch.
"The eggs? Delightful. The fries? Seasoned perfectly.
"Everything was cooked really well.
"The rump steak was cooked perfectly and it was charred exquisitely, and I am over the moon with this.
"I can't forget the chicken wings, they were a good start.
"I can't believe we made it to the end – it was looking a bit hairy there but I am glad we made it."
Landlord Lee Wright said: "We recently invited the incredible Leah Shutkever over to attempt our Mixed Grill Challenge.
"Is this the moment the mixed grill finally meets its match?
"The Rules: 60 minutes to clear the lot, all in one sitting and must be completed by one person.
"If you fail, it’s £80—if you win, you’re a legend."
