A Burnley Love Island finalist has spoken out after receiving rude comments about her physical appearance after posting pictures and videos of herself at Coachella.
Shakira Khan, who reached the final of the 2025 series, addressed the comments in a candid Instagram video to her 793,000 followers during a trip to the American music festival.
She urged people to think before they post after reading comments asking if she was pregnant.
In the video, she said: "If one more person messages me asking if I am pregnant, I am going to lose my f*****g mind.
"God forbid I want to go and scran a fat burger and a hot dog at Coachella.
"Leave me alone. If I were pregnant you would know about it."
The video was captioned: "If I lose any more weight you’d be saying I am on Ozempic."
The former Blessed Trinity RC College pupil added: "You are so lucky I have thick skin.
"I am a size six. You could give someone [mental health] problems. Stop it."
Despite the negativity, Shakira has also received an outpouring of support from fans on her photos
One wrote: "Prettiest girl in the world,"
While another commented: "I am obsessed with this look."
Her mother, Sukina Khan, also joined in with encouragement, writing: "You look amazing my darling, and like you're having fun."
Others praised her appearance, with one follower saying: "You’re honestly ridiculously stunning."
Shakira attended Coachella in collaboration with hair care product manufacturer GHD.
It is understood that she is still in a relationship with Harry Cooksley, who she coupled up with during the reality show.
