A boxing programme is getting a boost through a new round of community support.
Adam Little Boxing, based in Fylde, has received support from the Institute of Research and Reforms (IRR) International and the Rehman Malik Foundation through a donation equivalent to 15 group training sessions.
The sessions aim to empower young people across Kirkham and the wider Fylde Coast, using boxing as a pathway for mentorship, discipline, and personal development.
Adam Little, founder of A.L Combat Gym, said: "It’s great to be involved in a proven boxing-related programme to hopefully change as many young lives as possible. With the guidance and support of Ali Rehman Malik from the Institute of Research and Reforms International & the Rehman Malik Foundation, we look forward to building something positive through sport, alternative education & potential real-life work experience.
"Our aim is to mentor and guide young people to become the best version of themselves."
The initiative is part of a broader, long-term commitment from IRR International, with future phases of support and programme growth planned in the coming years.
This round of support follows a visit in November 2025 by Ali Rehman Malik, chairman of IRR International, and Raza Hussain, head of communications, with the meeting arranged by Andrew Snowden MP.
Mr Snowden said: "I am delighted and very grateful to see IRR International supporting this work and helping expand the classes so even more people can benefit.
"Adam Little is doing something truly special for Kirkham and the wider Fylde Coast, and I will continue doing everything I can to support the amazing work he is leading through A.L Combat Gym."

He said: "Initiatives like this play an important role in providing structure, discipline and a sense of direction for young people.
"In areas where opportunities can be limited, community-led programmes like Adam Little Boxing Club offer something practical and immediate, a space for development, support and personal growth.
"We are pleased to support this work and believe it will contribute, in a small but meaningful way, to strengthening the local community."
