A thrilling new £9 million ride is set to dominate the Blackpool skies.
Aviktas, a record-breaking pendulum attraction, will open in Spring 2026 at Pleasure Beach Resort.
The towering ride swings up to 138 feet into the air at a dramatic 120-degree angle, making it the tallest ride of its kind.
Amanda Thompson, chief executive of Pleasure Beach Resort, said: "The POV footage gives a very first glimpse of the exhilarating swing and stomach-dropping moments of airtime, as well as the incredible height and views over the coast."
Freshly released point-of-view footage captured during full-speed testing shows what it will feel like to soar above the Blackpool coastline aboard one of the ride's 40 seats.
The footage marks the ride's first ascent to full height, recorded during a test using 20 water-filled dummies to simulate real passengers.
She said: "Watching Aviktas reach full height and speed for the first time was absolutely incredible.
"It’s one thing seeing the structure dominate the skyline during the construction process, but it’s another seeing it truly perform."
The £8.72 million attraction is nearly double the height of similar UK rides, such as Drayton Manor’s Maelstrom, which reaches 74 feet.
The ride remains on schedule for its spring 2026 opening.

Landscaping is expected to follow in the coming weeks.
The ride’s theme features a giant snake emblem crowning the structure, a central element in promotional materials seen around the park.
