Residents of a street in a Fylde town are celebrating after they became £1,000 richer thanks to the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The winning ticket today (Thursday, March 5) was in Poulton-le-Fylde, and those with a ticket and the postcode FY6 0EL were awarded the prize in the daily draw.
The lucky postcode belongs to players living in Hampson Grove, Preesall.
Subscriptions to the lottery help fund a wide range of charities across the UK, with a minimum of 33 per cent of ticket sales going directly to good causes.

The People’s Postcode Lottery manages draws for 20 different charities, each holding one lottery a month.
Over the years, the lottery has grown in popularity nationwide and continues to support “a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world.”
To date, more than £1.1 billion has been raised for thousands of organisations and community projects across the country.
