A major new cinema release of Shakespeare’s Othello, directed by Tom Morris and filmed live at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, is coming to venues across East Lancashire.

The production stars David Harewood as Othello, Toby Jones as Iago, and Caitlin FitzGerald as Desdemona.

The tragedy follows Othello, a respected military commander whose deep love for Desdemona is slowly undermined by Iago’s calculated manipulation.

As jealousy takes hold, Othello is pushed toward devastating and irreversible decisions.
