Some of Roald Dahl’s best-loved films are coming back to the big screen.
Vue cinemas across Lancashire will host classic children’s favourites as part of the Roald Dahl Back On The Big Screen season.
The screenings began yesterday with James and the Giant Peach, from the director behind classics such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline.
The story follows an orphan who, tired of living with his two cruel aunts, befriends a group of anthropomorphic bugs who live inside a giant peach.
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder, returns from March 7.
The Witches (1990), featuring Angelica Huston, will return on March 14, while Matilda screens from March 28.
The BFG returns to cinemas from April 3.
Fantastic Mr Fox, the stop motion creature crime caper, will be shown from April 10.
